We endeavour to provide the answer to every customer’s request, using our own resources, the internet, or liasing with other Information Centres in other areas.Our policy is: " We never say I don’t Know”.

Atherton Visitor Centre Information
You're welcome to call into the Centre or contact for up to date information about:
- Road conditions from the RACQ
- Weather conditions from the Bureau of Meteorology
- Transportation info - bus timetable, taxi details, and bus tours
- Sporting information, venues and times
- Church Services - venues, times and directions
- Doctors, dentists and chemists information
- Fact sheets on local subjects for school children
- Arts and culture - details of art galleries and displays
- Walking and cycling clubs - meetings and areas
- Camping areas - National Parks, caravan parks and campgrounds
- Accommodation including camping, cabins, hotels, motels, bed & breakfast, and luxury destinations
- Maps- we have Hema maps covering all states of Australia plus UBD’s, and motoring books for 4WD and truck drivers.
- Bookings for all attractions and accommodation in and around the Atherton Tablelands, Cooktown, Daintree and Cape Tribulation.
- Prices of all the major attractions, including Skyrail, the Kuranda Train, hot air ballooning, reef trip companies, horse riding, helicopter flights, microlight flights, scenic flights with light airplanes. Prices of Cape York, Daintree and Cape Tribulation tour companies.

Are you trying to find information abut a family member stationed on the Tablelands during World War 2? Contact us for help to trace down your relative.
Atherton Visitor Centre Services
Prospective new-comers to the Tablelands are welcome to request our free Relocation Pack. We will mail to you two current newspapers, street maps of the area, plus other information desired. Let us know what details you wish which could include Tablelands population, climate, school information, markets, clubs, or arts & crafts.
Tourism Packs
Visitors and travelers are encouraged to request our free Tourism Pack. We will mail to you tourism brochures, maps, accommodation details and information on attractions Areas covered are The Atherton Tablelands, Cape York, Daintree and Cape Tribulation.
Personal Itineraries
Let us know your interests and timeframe and we'll help you create your personal itinerary. Some examples of special interests are a waterfall drive, a, food & wine tasting drive, a cycle tour, or local walking tracks.
Special packs for conferences or groups
Tourist coaches and conference organisers will enjoy our special pack service. Tell us your preference such as accommodation, attractions or wineries and we'll place specific brochures in packs to suit your numbers.
Itineraries for Coach Companies
Coach companies are welcome to liaise with us when creating itineraries. We're happy to offer advice on attractions, activities, distances and road conditions.
Wedding Information
Getting married on the Tablelands? Ask us for our wedding organising list. This information includes venues, marriage celebrants, wedding cakes, dresses, photographers and flowers.
Brochure Display
Businesses are invited to talk to us about the display of your brochures in the Atherton Tableland Information Centre for a small fee. The brochures are handed out to customers and also placed in our Tourism, Relocation and Conference Packs. These are mailed out within Australia and overseas.
Window Display
Event organisers are welcome to talk to us about our free window display of Tablelands and Queensland events.
